But the games are a lot more competitive now and lower scoring. My first handful of games i would give up around 30 and it would turn into a shootout. The run stretch all game doesnt work in this game. The send everyone doesnt work in this game. Thats another thing, the send 2 and drop everyone else back doesnt work in this game. Yeah it works sometimes but i only get it if my opponent presses and then only sends 2. I watched the throne video of him bombing it to tyreek on every play but it doesnt really work like that. I was primarily a runner on last gen and on next gen i probably pass 70% of the time. What works on last gen doesnt necessarily work on next gen. OR just run strong h wing stretch lookie all game. Its not like last/current gen where you just slam the stick in a direction, hit sprint, and stop and go. I almost feathered the run stick and only hit sprint as soon as i got around a defender. I wish i wouldve recorded it but i ran and inside zone where i weaved in and out of 3 defenders for a 15 yard TD. You cant get to tyreek's 99 speed after 2 steps.

No you cant have a LB keep up with darren waller anymore. Right now the WR route running dominates man coverage. The DBs need to be buffed to get to that speed faster. Which is why i think the man coverage issue is a problem. In next gen it actually takes 4 or 5 strides to get to that 94 speed. The accell, agility and cod is equally as important. The speed isnt the end all be all on a card in next gen. The coverage yeah needs A LOT of work but EA tweeted out that they are going to fix it. Getting used to the game, finding out what works and what doesnt. But i forced myself to play a bunch of solo battles and solos. At first i played one H2H game and was like "FUUUUCK that sucked". I hate the NFL for continuing to give EA and exclusive contract. I really hope they can get things turned around because I really love football and I just want to play. I’m going to keep playing and finish this year off and then evaluate from there. I was seriously legitimately not going to buy next years version, after 20 years of owning almost every single one because nothing ever changes. Catches are still horribly animation driven, but it’s a are in the right direction I think.ĮA still has a lot of work to do, but I think next gen shows promise. Tackling/player collisions also seem to be much more physics based now instead of the bullshit animation driven falls we got in the past. Double moves and even just in/out routes weren’t as effective as they should have been in real life because LBs could keep up with WRs and basically make the cut before the WR did. I know you mentioned COD a few times, and I do think it should be tweaked a little bit, but that’s been another one of my gripes in the past. That’s always been my biggest gripe in this game.

LBs shouldn’t be able to run across the field with WRs. A DT Cant just abandon his blitz and sprint upfield to pick off a pass anymore. The game speed feels much more like real football and player speed seems like it actually matters now.

Even taking control and jumping myself doesn’t work half the time. I’ve gotten burned several times on jump balls where it would have been an interception if my defender had responded. My biggest gripe rn is how the defender refuses to get up for jump balls.

It still has bugs, such as the off and on effectiveness of deep zones, although I do feel like that’s gotten better over the past day or two. I’m probably in the minority here, but I enjoy next gen way more.
